Bridgestone Americas Center for Research and Technology is accepting resumes for an Analytical Research Chemist in Akron, OH.

Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and demonstrated hands-on experience with multiple analytical techniques from spectroscopy to chromatography to thermal analysis. Successful candidates will join a team of scientists involved in the characterization of polymers and other materials by a variety of these analytical techniques.

The holder of this position should be a creative individual with much initiative, must have received strong academic training, and have good problem-solving abilities.  Solid verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are also needed.  The employee is expected to interact effectively with other researchers of the Center as well as associates in other parts of the Corporation in the US and abroad.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. A pre-employment drug test is required.
